Snack
Snack time is really important, it’s a moment to chat and relax and hopefully to try some new foods.
We believe for the best play, children need the best fuel, so our weekly menu boards which can be found in the kitchen, are created to be varied and healthy. We also believe in balance as well as healthy, so once a week they have a treat day when they can indulge in cake, crumpet or pain au choc.
We want our snacks to be like our schools, multicultural, so we listen to the children and find out what they eat at home, and encourage them to note their preferences on our suggestion board. As Parents we are always keen to hear from you. Let us know what you eat at home and if you think there is anything we can use as a snack, we would love to hear from you.
Finally, we believe if we want children to adopt healthy eating habits, they need to have confidence in food. As part of our activities we include the children cooking a snack. A child can make yummy soups, pizza and cakes for eating with their friends.
